About Luke
I've been where you are.
Personal trainer. Single dad. Founder of Luke Neal Personal Training in Worcester.
Hi, I'm Luke Neal.
I'm a personal trainer, a single dad and the founder of Luke Neal Personal Training.
But fitness hasn't always been a big part of my life.
I haven't always loved fitness.
There have been periods in my life where I've struggled with my weight, self-confidence, mental health and my relationship with alcohol and addiction.
I've made mistakes.
I've made choices that weren't good for me.
And I've found myself repeating patterns that I knew needed to change.
Eventually, I reached a point where I knew something had to be different.
I honestly don't know where I would be today if I hadn't started making those changes.
I don't say that for sympathy.
I say it because it's the truth.
I knew I couldn't continue living the same way and expect my life to become different.

Chapter two
Fitness became part of my change
Exercise wasn't some magical solution.
But it became one positive thing I could control.
It gave me structure.
It gave me something to work towards.
It helped me become physically stronger.
And as I became stronger physically, I started to feel stronger mentally and more confident in myself too.
I began to realise something important:
I was capable of changing.
A bigger reason
Being a dad changed my perspective
Being a single dad has given me another reason to keep moving forward, even on the days when it would be easier not to.
I want to be the best version of myself that I can be — both for myself and for my son.
That means looking after my health, keeping healthier habits in place and staying consistent with the choices that help me show up properly.
It's not about being perfect. It's about being someone he can rely on, and someone I can be proud of.
Why I coach
Why I became a personal trainer
My own experience is a big part of why I became a personal trainer. I understand what it feels like to want to make a change but not know where to start.
I understand low confidence.
I understand struggling with motivation.
I understand what it feels like to start again.
So when someone tells me they feel out of shape, unsure or nervous about walking into a gym, I don't judge it. I've felt it. I want to help people take that first step — and then keep taking the next one.
"I don't need my clients to be perfect.
I want to help them keep moving forward."
